Keyboard first, mouse never. Scan with the counter scanner or the phone camera, type three letters to find an item, one key to take payment, receipt printed. The cashier’s hands never leave where they already are.

The notebook under the counter, done properly. A credit sale attaches to a phone number, the running balance is one tap away, and a polite reminder SMS is one more. Collect any amount — the customer gets a receipt by SMS and the ledger closes itself.

No internet, no problem: the sale rings, the receipt prints, and the queue syncs exactly once when the line comes back. Every sale carries an id minted at the till, so a lost reply is a replay — never a second charge.
